Who we are

meilsgo.com is run by MEILS – Middle East International Logistics Solutions Co. LLC, Office 104H, Polygon Business Park SODIC, Beverly Hills – Sheikh Zayed – Giza, Egypt ("MEILS", "we").

For any question about your personal data, write to info@meilsgo.com.

What we collect

When you send a request (sea, air or land freight quote, logistics, consultation, customs clearance, booking, or contact form):

  • your name, company, email address and phone number, and whether that number is on WhatsApp;
  • the shipment details you give us (origin, destination, cargo, quantities, dates, notes);
  • any files you attach (for example packing lists or invoices).

When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number, and either a protected (hashed) password or the identifier Google gives us when you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.

Automatically, when you use the site:

  • your IP address and basic technical details, used to protect the site against abuse (for example limiting repeated form submissions) and in security logs;
  • small items stored in your browser so the site works: your sign-in session, your language and display choices, and your cookie choice;
  • Google Analytics, only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline or ignore it, analytics does not load.

We do not collect payment card details on this site.

4

Who sees it

  • MEILS staff who handle your request (sales, pricing, operations, customs).
  • Our internal operations system, which receives website requests so our team can price and follow them. Our staff may receive a short summary of a new request through Telegram so that the person on duty can pick it up quickly.
  • Service providers who run things for us: our web hosting provider, our email delivery, Google (sign-in with Google, and Analytics if you accepted), and Render, which hosts our operations system in the United States.
  • Carriers, agents, customs brokers and authorities, but only what is needed to move or clear your shipment, or when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

5

Data sent outside Egypt

Some of these providers store data outside Egypt: our operations system is hosted by Render in the United States, and Google and Telegram may process data in other countries. We use them only to provide our service, and we share only what each one needs.

6

How long we keep it

  • Requests, bookings and the related messages: 5 years, for business, tax and customs records.
  • Files you attach: kept with your request. Files that were uploaded but never sent with a request are deleted automatically, normally within a day or two.
  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it. Records we must keep by law are kept for the legal period.
  • Newsletter consent and unsubscribe records: kept as proof of your choice. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address and the record of your choice (when you agreed, on which form, and when you left) so that we can show it and never email you again.
  • Our site’s own security logs: kept no longer than 90 days. Our hosting provider keeps its own server logs under its own settings.
7

Your rights

Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (No. 151 of 2020) and similar laws, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
  • stop using it for marketing, or withdraw any consent you gave, at any time;
  • object to a particular use.

Write to the address in section 1. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center.

8

Newsletter and unsubscribing

  • You receive our newsletter only if you ticked the "Send me MEILS news and offers" box. It is never ticked for you.
  • Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link: open the link and press one button. No sign-in is needed.
  • Once you unsubscribe, we stop.
9

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as protected hashes. Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it. Uploaded files can never run as programs on our server. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach puts your data at risk, we will act and inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

10

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell account holders by email.
